Greenhouse Worker
Purpose
As a Greenhouse Worker, you will work in all areas of the greenhouse to ensure the completion of weekly production and fulfillment tasks. The majority of your time will be spent in the Fulfillment Department, however this may shift depending on business needs.
As a member of CosMic Plants, you will bring your energetic and motivated attitude to help maintain high levels of efficiency and quality in production, picking, and packing orchids. You will follow standardized processes to ensure our products consistently meet and exceed customer expectations.

The Greenhouse Worker role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals, who enjoy being active at work and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Math skills and attention to detail are essential, as you'll be inspecting the quality of orchids and selecting products based on order details and case counts. Responsibilities
- -Uphold CosMic Plants’ values and company culture in all relationships.
- -Uphold CosMic Plants’ quality image.
- -Sort orchids in various categories.
- -Pick orders as per order details.
- -Apply labels, UPCs, and care tags.
- -Apply upgrades (pots, accessories, sleeves).
- -Pack product in boxes and trays.
- -Load pallets and carts.
- -Ensure all tasks are performed efficiently, timely, and in order of priority.
- -Engage in regular communication with the fulfillment team, sales team, and logistics to complete orders.
- -Adhere to CosMic Plants Health and Safety policies (this is everyone’s responsibility).
Other Responsibilities May Include
- -Potting orchid plants.
- -Spacing orchid plants.
- -Placing support sticks.
- -Move grow-tables to designated growing areas.
Qualifications and Skills
- -Completed Secondary School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- -Prior experience in the fast food, warehousing, or greenhouse industry is considered an asset.
- -Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
- -Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- -Strong attention to detail for quality inspections and to ensure customer requirements are met.
- -Basic math skills for handling orders and inventory.
- -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- -Effective communication for collaborating with your team.
- -Organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
- -Reliability and strong work ethic, including consistent transportation to work.
Compensation and Benefits
- -Hourly wage of $18.00.
- -Health care benefits after successful completion of a 3-month probationary period.
- -Statutory Holiday pay.
- -Vacation pay.
- -The potential for a year-end company performance bonus.
Note: Business hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM. It is understood that hours worked per week may vary depending on the week, the tasks at hand, and the season.
